Drs. Marjan ter Avest graduated in social sciences. She is the director of MIND, the mental health fundation in the Netherlands. MIND includes the national association of patients and family in mental health care. MIND promotes the mental health of the netherlands through information, anonymous help, research and innovation. The aim is good care and counseling for everyone who is dealing with mental health problems. Marjan ter Avest is also secretary of the national organisation ‘Together strong without stigma’. This organization aims to break through the stigma on mental health problemen.
