Project manager working for the City of Oslo in Norway. Pettersen has a varied background, and in his career so far he has had a focus on user participation and youth. He has been one of the founding members of the Norwegian Association for Peer Support Workers in Norway (www.erfaringssentrum.no), where he led the work with their national conference between 2018–2025 and helped build the infrastructure of the organization. In his career in the City of Oslo, he has been involved in starting a user panel, establishing new services together with youth, and worked with the mental health service Ung Arena (Youth Arena). Pettersen has worked as a peer support himself for several years and has been associated with a working group at the Norwegian Directorate of Health that works with evaluation of FACT Youth in Norway and implementation of FACT Youth.
