Closing the gap in psychiatric care for people with serious mental illnes

Thanks many of you for coming to Copenhagen and again making this conference a great success. We had 500+ visitors, interesting plenary speakers, symposia, workshops, and many posters this time. The site-visits in the Copenhagen area were popular and sold out. In our conference in London 2027 we hope to have more opportunities for site visits. The party was also sold out; next conference we will create more spaces. The overall evaluation of the conference was positive (mean score 4.1 on a scale from 0-5), including some suggestions for improvements. It turned out that the theme of the conference ”Closing the gap in psychiatric care for people with serious mental illness” was spot on, since in many countries we struggle with this problem. We hope that the contributions helped participants in dealing with this problem and became inspired by the conference.

And finally, we had to say goodbye to one of the board members of EAOF, Marijke van Putten, and welcomed two new board members: Lisette van de Meer (incoming president) and Koen Westen. Thank you Marijke for helping to make this conference and previous EAOF conferences to a great succes!
